Battery Park Sunset Series
The Battery Park at the V&A presents a sunset series every second Friday of the month with the freshest acts, DJ’s and artists on show, best of all it’s free for all!

2019 High School Band Slam at the V&A
From Thursday 7th and Friday 15th  March, 10 Peninsula High Schools will compete in the 2019 High School Band Slam at the V&A Waterfront’s Amphitheatre from 6pm. The audience can expect to hear a wide range of music genres and instruments including drums, pianos, guitars and saxophones.

Zeitz MOCAA | March Children’s Holiday Programme 18 – 29 March 
Join us for a variety of workshops this holiday. The workshops are geared towards younger and older children and some are for the whole family. Children will be encouraged to explore a range of different wet and dry mediums, including painting, drawing, collage, 3-D construction, and print-making. They will also get to explore the creative possibilities of various materials in a nurturing and child-friendly space. Children of guardians who have museum membership can participate in the workshops for free. For children of non-member guardians, general museum admission is required.
All materials are provided. Children should wear clothes that can get dirty or bring along an apron. To reserve a spot, RSVP here.

Table Mountain Cableway

A Very High Tea
Table Mountain Wi-Fi Lounge has recently launched the ultimate high tea experience. Hosted in the Wi-Fi Lounge with access of course to free Wi-Fi and spectacular panoramic views of our beautiful city and ocean. This unique high tea is a modern take on the British traditional affair and provides both sweet and savoury options.

Minimum amount of people: 2, and maximum amount allowed for the high tea, 20 people. R325 per person with a discounted return cable car ticket for only R175 extra when you book your high tea. These discounted return tickets are available until Sunday 30 June 2019. The Very High Tea is, however, not offered between 15 December 2019 – 15 January 2020.

Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts
Summer Sunday afternoons are meant to be spent outdoors, better yet at Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts. Pack your picnic baskets and bring along your dancing shoes for an afternoon of fun and music. Times: Gates open 16h00, concerts start time varies between 17h00 / 17h30, concerts end at 19h00.

Robben Island

Explore South Africa’s political past with an informative tour at the maximum security prison. But Robben Island isn’t just about the political past of our country, keep an eye out for the African penguins that are on the island.

The ferry ride to Robben Island is an adventure in itself, enjoy spectacular views of Table Mountain from the upper deck of the ferry if you are lucky,

you may even spot some dolphins or seals frolicking in the waves.

Tour the Robben Island surrounds in a guided bus tour and view the Robben Island shipwrecks, 19th-century Lighthouse; the only lighthouse in South Africa to use a flashing light instead of a revolving light.

A former Robben Island inmate will guide you while on the island, and you’ll receive unparalleled insight into the significant role that each of the Robben Island’s inmates collectively played throughout apartheid. You will be guided to the maximum security prison, various Robben Island exhibition displays and a visit to Nelson Mandela’s prison cell.
