The Kirstenbosch Winter Wonders Holiday Programme will run from 23 June – 16 July 2018, children up to the age of 17 have FREE access to Kirstenbosch. In addition to this, several family and children activities are planned, most of them FREE of charge.

Winter Wonders Holiday Programme

Make the beautiful Kirstenbosch Garden your playground this school holiday. The 36 hectares of cultivated garden includes the Fynbos Garden, Forest Braille Trail and Fragrance Garden, Useful Plants Garden and Water-wise Garden.

Young nature lovers can discover the freshwater fish and frogs of our area with the Kirstenbosch estate management team, or do some bird watching with a bird expert from the Cape Bird Club. Our Gold Fields Environmental Education Centre will also be running workshops that combine a walk through the Garden with a craft activity, using recycled materials and items collected from nature.

Moyo Restaurant will provide lots of fun for the children with drumming sessions, magic shows and puppet shows, as well as a daily play area.
