Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in Cape Town and while we can still expect a few more rainy days, we will be rewarded with blooming flowers, warmer days and the promise of Summer! So, come and celebrate Spring with the Cape Town Big 6!

Cape Point

Take a hike along a wide variety of scenic and overnight trails through natural fynbos and along sandy beaches or photograph the more than 1 100 indigenous plant species that grow nowhere else in the world.

City Walk

The Company’s Garden is fast becoming one of Cape Town’s most popular destinations for families and tourists and is one of the most beautiful places to visit during Spring. Take a walk down Government Avenue, visit the museums, feed the squirrels or have a picnic under a tree. You can also take a walking tour of the #CityWalk. There are daily walking tours departing from the front of the Taj hotel. For more information contact citywalk@capetownpartnership.co.za.

Groot Constantia

Spring is when the vines come alive after their winter slumber. Take a walk through the vineyards and spot the bright green baby leaves on the vines. Spring at Groot Constantia is also the perfect time to start enjoying the late afternoon sun while dining outside Jonkershuis or Simon’s Restaurants.

Kirstenbosch

What better way to celebrate Spring than to a visit to Africa’s most beautiful garden! Take part in one of their Garden Walks, Theme Walks or Bird Walks and get to know the garden or pack a picnic to enjoy on the rolling lawns!

Robben Island

Spring is the perfect time to spot seals, penguins, birds and maybe a pod of dolphins when you take the ferry to Robben Island. And when you are there, take a walk around the island and take in the beautiful views of Table Mountain and the city.

Table Mountain Cableway

Get to the top with the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, while enjoying the spectacular views of the city. With temperatures heating up, we welcome Cape Town’s famous flora – all the natural beauty that comes with spring on Table Mountain’s slopes.
