Calling all South Africans – Table Mountain Cableway’s 3-for-1 Kidz Season special has arrived early this year giving South African families daily discounted rates from Friday 27 April to Monday 24 September 2018!

Get Ready For The 3-For-1 Kidz Season Special At The Cableway

Children, tweens and teens alike – the Kidz Season special sees two youngsters under 18 years of age ride for free with every Kidz Season adult return ticket purchased for the special price of R250 online from tablemountain.net or at the Lower Station Ticket Office.

This special is available 7 days a week and parents need a valid SA ID to book this special.

Note: Kidz Season dates exclude the Cableway’s annual maintenance period from Monday 23 July until Sunday 5 August 2018.

Upon arrival, all young explorers will receive a sticker or a temporary tattoo and a Kidz Season treasure hunt map, in which they will find vouchers for free treats from the Shop at the Top and the Table Mountain Café. Older kids can download the free Voicemap app (available from the Apple App or Google Play stores) and enjoy the free Cableway audio tours. Once downloaded, these audio tours run offline and will provide your kids (and you) with great insights into the iconic New 7 Wonder of Nature.

Hungry adventurers can also stop by the Table Mountain Café for its Kidz Season Café Special, priced at R55, that includes a ‘Dassie’ pizza slice, 200ml fruit juice and dried fruit rolls.

We spent the morning on top of Table Mountain with a bunch of other bloggers for the launch of #cablewaykidz season – R250 gets you a return ticket for an adult & 2 kids plus there is a little treasure hunt where kids can explore the mountain & collect some small sweet prizes while they’re doing it. Such a fun family morning out with views for days. It can be so difficult so see the city that you live in because it’s always geared towards tourists right? Which means it’s way out the budget, especially when you have three kids. In fact that’s why we haven’t ever taken the kids up Table Mountain. But that changed this weekend with the #cablewaykidz initiative. Here’s how it works: * South African adult (with ID) buys a ticket for R250 to go up and down the cable car * Gets to take TWO children up the mountain inclusive of that ticket price! * Can explore the mountain on their own vibe or use the very cool treasure hunt that you get with your ticket (I really recommend this – so informative and our kids loved it!) * Can pop into the restaurant to get the kids meal for R55 (pizza slice, juice and fruit rolls – pretty sweet deal, the pizza is huge) * Marvel at the beauty of our city, feel superior being able to look on top of the clouds or just walk around and literally see the whole of Cape Town. Anything up there is fun We could really have spent an entire day up there exploring and bummed that we had to head down midday. Just remember to take warm jackets, it’s freaking cold up there!
