Plastic-Free July at the V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront reaffirmed its commitment to lessening the impact of plastics this Plastic-Free July. At the V&A, a dedicated team of more than 90 people collect, handle and sort all the waste on the property.

V&A Waterfront wins at the World Responsible Tourism Awards in London

The V&A Waterfront clinched the global award at the highly contested World Responsible Tourism awards held in London on Monday, 1 November 2021. The Waterfront is one of a handful of winners of the overall Global Award (award levels go from One to Watch, Silver, Gold then Global).

IN THE NEWS: We are proud to announce the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway have made it to the shortlist along with the Two Oceans Aquarium, a fellow Cape Town attraction that we are proud to have at the V&A Waterfront.

The 2019 winners will be announced during WTM Africa at a ceremony on Wednesday, 10 April 2019 at 16.45 at the CTICC.

South Africa wins 34th Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show

In the News: There was jubilation at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI-Kirstenbosch and Harold Porter) exhibit at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show this morning when designers David Davidson and Ray Hudson and the team of SANBI staff and volunteers learned that they had won South Africa’s 35th gold medal in 41 years at exhibiting at the prestigious show.
