Experience goodness at the V&A Food Market.  An array of street food served in an authentic market environment, with over 40 vendors housed in the historical Pumphouse building off Nobel Square. Visit the Oranjezicht City Farmers Market, held every Saturday at the historic Granger Bay site of the V&A Waterfront, the OZCF Market Day is a community farmers-style market for independent local farmers and artisanal food producers.

Bring your own picnic or pick up a gourmet basket at one of Kirstenbosch restaurants.

Kirstenbosch Tea Room offers patrons the option to make up their own “Garden Gourmet Picnic” from the picnic menu; alternatively, you can order take away from the menu. Tailor-made picnics for large groups can be arranged if booked in advance.

Robben Island

Robben Island does not have any restaurant facilities so it is best that you either bring your own picnic basket or do pop in at one of the many deli shops at the V & A Waterfront.

Cape Point

Cape Point is located in the Table Mountain National Park and offers a variety of picnic spots. Bring your own picnic basket and blanket and find great swimming spots, picnic sites and walks at the Bordjiesrif and Buffels Bay tidal pools.

Not in the mood for a picnic? Visit the Two Oceans Restaurant which is famous for its seafood cuisine as it is for a superb wooden deck that looks out onto one of the most stunning ocean views in South Africa.
