Heritage Day: African Festival
Alter Concepts, an NPC based in Cape Town is celebrating this year’s heritage day with the general public, by hosting an African Festival at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre. A day filled with entertainment from dancers, singers, rappers, poets, life coaching speeches, and a brass band, integrating other talents and cultures across Africa, showcasing our diversity in arts, music, and cultures.

Museum Night
Explore the museums of the V&A Waterfront in a new light, after dark.
Museums will be open from 5 pm until 10 pm, offering free admission to the public, with a number of other attractions offering half-price admission. The museum exhibitions are supported by an exciting programme of performances and walkabouts.

Blessing of the Fishing Fleet
The Portuguese Cultural and Welfare Centre of Cape Town will hold its annual Blessing of the Fishing Fleet Festival for 2018. The day begins with Holy Mass at 10:30 am followed by the blessing of the fleet at noon. Food stalls, a beer garden, and live entertainment will be on offer from 13h00.

Cape Town International Boat Show
Now in its 18th year, the Cape Town International Boat Show is set to continue its legacy as the leading international boat show and luxury lifestyle event on the African continent showcasing products and services from premier industry suppliers brought to you by Messe Frankfurt. The annual Cape Town International Boat show, set against the backdrop of the beautiful Mother City, is South Africa’s premier boating and luxury lifestyle event. The show brings together a display of the world’s finest yachts, catamarans, and exotic boats; family fun and water sports activities. The show will take place from 19-21 October 2018 at the V&A Waterfront.
